BIO Who is Ball Gag n Chain Gang?Ball Gag N Chain Gang is a 5-piece juggernaut of sound; a musical sideshow like no other. With horns, lap steels, didgeridoo, banjo, and 3 lead vocals each giving their own unique sound, they take what is great about music, mix it together, boil it down, and run it through some copper pipes and come out with tunes that are high in proof and sweet in flavor. What is Ho-Tonk? Ho-Tonk is a style of music created by Ball Gag N Chain Gang in order to allow them full creative freedom. It is also a philosophy of life that they preach across the land.Whats with the name?Ball Gag N Chain Gang was formed as the orchestra for a Fringe Festival play entitled Bullfrog Lullaby about a dominatrix visit to a taxedermist. The play was written by Racquel Mann and Kathleen Greenfiield.Whats so great about "Bang!"?The goal of Bang! was to capture the diversity and energy of the live Ball Gag N Chain Gang show. Live shows incorporate twelve instruments from banjo to didgeridu, infectious dance rhythms, and a developed stage show with lots of audience involvement.
